Dental surgery covers a wide range of treatments in the area of oral cavity:

Tooth extraction:

Extraction of teeth is the final resort today and we make all efforts to avoid it, using the latest achievements of modern medicine.

Surgical extraction of stopped teeth:

A stopped tooth is a tooth which does not go through the gum despite its growing process is finished (it may remain totally or partly invisible). This problem usually affects the eighths, the wisdom teeth, which very often are positioned horizontally towards the bone. Fortunately, thanks to our long experience, skills and knowledge, extractions of such teeth are not a problem for us.

Surgical uncovering of stopped teeth to pull them closer to the tooth arch

This procedure is accompanied also by an orthodontist who properly glues a bracket to the uncovered tooth and attaches it to the orthodontic appliance.

Resections of root ends:

Resection of a root involves surgical cutting off of the tooth root end and at the same time removal of inflammation areas and proper protection of the root from another inflammation. This applies to cases in which it is not possible to properly treat the canal of the tooth and there is an inflammation process present in the bone next to the root end. After the procedure there is often a large missing bone piece left near the resection-treated tooth which must be filled up with bone-like biomaterial, such as Bio-Oss, and cover with resorbable collagen membrane Bio-Gide.

Surgical implantology: (read more)

The role of this field is to improve bone conditions of jaw and mandible before putting the implants in. Most frequent procedures include raising the maxillary sinus bottom and controlled restoration of bones.

Minor surgeries such as:

Cutting the frenulum of the upper lip or tongue.
Gum formation, cutting off outgrown gums, shaping the gum edge, for instance, after orthodontic treatment.
We perform these procedures most often using laser.
